Kourion

The site of Kourion is located just to the west of the city of Lemesos (Limassol). Over the last few years, many improvements have been made to the site making this one of the best sites in Cyprus to visit. The site contains:

• a Hellenistic theater
• a Roman agora
• a Roman bathing complex
• several private houses with mosaics
• a stadium
• and an early Christian Basilica

A few kilometers down the coast, there is a Classical-Roman period sanctuary dedicated to Apollo Hylates.
