Pyla
The village of Pyla is the only village left on the island that is inhabited by both Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots. The famous singer, Anna Vissi, is from Pyla. Pyla means "gate" and in Greek and in antiquity Pyla served as the gate between Larnaka Bay and the interior of the island.
